Day 1: Board Charmer in Georgetown, the
largest settlement in the Exumas and home to Georgetown airport
and convenient service to the US. After lunch, we'll leave the dock
to cross the bay and anchor in the lee of Stocking Island, home
to the highest point in the Exumas as well as to a number of nice
beaches. Perfect spot to spend the afternoon on the beach, jet skiing
or kayaking and evening relaxing on your first night aboard Charmer.
Day 2: Just an hour from Georgetown and
Stocking Island, Rat Cay offers a pleasant anchorage with
numerous coves, beaches, sandbars and small cays to explore.
Day 3: One of the most scenic anchorages
in the Exumas thanks to the tall hills and numerous beaches, Lee
Stocking has a different feel from other Bahamas anchorages
making guests feels like they are in the Carribbean instead. Lee
Stocking is home to an international marine research institute (tours
can be arranged)
Day 4: More scenic beaches and a calm anchorage
awaits you at Bitter Guana Cay, and off the beaten track
cay just south of Staniel Cay.
Day 5: Our base to explore the Thunderball
Grotto and the surounding cays will be the renowed yet laid back
Staniel Cay Yacht Club Marina. In addition to the many beaches
and sandbars, Staniel Cay is also the northern Exumas' largest settlement.
Staniel Cay Yacht Club's popular bar and restaurant is the perfect
place to experience Bahmamian Conch and local Kalik beer while enjoying
a Bahamas sunset!
Day 6: Another incredibly scenic spot!
In addition to beaches and great snorkeling, Rudder Cay is
home to beautiful caves along its shore. Next to Rudder Cay is David
Copperfield's private island, Mushta Cay,
Day 7: back to Georgetown or Barraterre
on the north side of Great Exumas, a small settlement with taxi
service to the airport. Another option, is to spend the last day
at Sandal's Emerald Bay Resort Marina.
